About EESI

Energy Efficiency Skills Institute (RTO 46127) is an Australian training provider delivering insulation, retrofit quality, safety and energy efficiency training.

Course types and accreditation

Asbestos Awareness is a non-nationally-recognised industry short course / awareness training (not nationally recognised VET). The Insulation Installer CPD Refresher is an industry CPD/refresher course and is not claimed as nationally recognised VET until NRT is confirmed. Nationally recognised training is delivered only where a course includes accredited units of competency.

Contact

Hemmant QLD 4174, Australia. Training is also delivered at employer sites and partner campuses around Australia. Email info@eesi.edu.au.

Enrolment

Before enrolment you receive information about outcomes, delivery mode and location, duration, entry requirements, fees and refunds, USI, support, RPL and credit transfer, complaints and appeals, and expected conduct. Enrolment is confirmed in writing once evidence and USI requirements are met. See enrolment information.

Fees and refunds

Published fees are listed on the course fees page. EESI does not hold more than $1,500 in prepaid fees at any time for an individual in the same VET course; higher-fee courses are staged (for example, Certified Insulation Installer is $1,500 at enrolment and the balance of $700 before practical, toward a $2,200 total).

Refund arrangements are set out on the fees, charges & refunds page. Fees are published before enrolment and refunds apply in defined circumstances including provider default. If you withdraw after commencement, you may be charged a proportionate fee for training already delivered. The exact calculation is set out in your enrolment confirmation. Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees are not limited.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

A USI is required for AQF certification from nationally recognised training. Create or find your USI at usi.gov.au.

Support and LLND

EESI provides reasonable support to help you complete your training, including language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) considerations, reasonable adjustment where appropriate, and referral to external support services where relevant.

Training and assessment

Training is delivered in line with training package requirements. Assessment is competency-based and may include practical demonstration, written or oral questioning, workplace tasks and third-party reports. You will receive feedback and, where required, the opportunity for reassessment.

RPL and credit transfer

Recognition of prior learning, credit transfer and re-issue of certification documents are not currently offered. If these services become available, the price will be published and confirmed in writing before you incur any charge.

Complaints and appeals

Complaints about any EESI service, and appeals about assessment judgements, are handled fairly and in writing. Try the internal process first. After the internal process is complete, students may escalate the matter to an appropriate external body, including state consumer protection or ombudsman pathways as applicable. Separately, ASQA regulates RTOs and can receive complaints about compliance with the Standards only where that falls within its remit; ASQA does not resolve individual student disputes and is not an advocate for either party. It does not guarantee personal outcomes. See complaints & appeals.

Student conduct

Students are expected to act safely and respectfully, follow site and PPE requirements, submit their own work, and treat staff and other students without harassment or discrimination. Where a specific sanction may apply, students will be given an opportunity to respond. Any fee consequences are only as set out in the fees, charges & refunds policy and Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. See the privacy policy.

Certification

Where you are assessed as competent in nationally recognised units, a Statement of Attainment is issued within 30 calendar days of completion, provided all fees are paid and a valid USI has been supplied.

Training recognition: Energy Efficiency Skills Institute is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 46127). Nationally recognised training is delivered only where a course is listed as accredited or includes nationally recognised units of competency. Some short courses may be non-accredited industry training.
